The dissertation is devoted to the problem of studying epidemiology of urogenital chlamydiosis in Ukraine and to a new solution of the scientific task as for improvement in efficacy of the therapy and prophylaxis of urogenital pathology having chlamydial and mixed chlamydial etiology by means of the combined therapy with an account for etiological factors, peculiarities of clinical running of the inflammatory process, nature and severity of immunological disorders in the patient’s body.
An analysis was performed of both statistical and own studies and showed a rather significant spreading of chlamydial and mixed chlamydial urogenital infection among the population of Ukraine.
An algorithm was developed for laboratory diagnosis of mixed chlamydial urogenital infections. Serological monitoring was shown to be necessary for the determination of IgC, IgA and IgM aimed at evaluating both stage of the disease and efficacy of the therapy performed. The evidences were provided for more significant suppression of local immunity in the case of mixed chlamydial infection.
The tumor necrosis factor (TNF) was shown to have diagnostic and prognostic value, whereas its receptors (TNF-Р1 and TNF-Р2) were shown to be mediators of chlamydial and mixed chlamydial urogenital infection persistence.
A new combined method was worked out for the therapy of urogenital pathology having chlamydial and mixed chlamydial etiology.
