This work is dedicated to the study of modern distribution, ecological-grouping, biological (morphology, living forms, ontogeny and life cycle, reproduction) and sozological peculiarities of Ukrainian flora wild peonies. The detail quantitative-population analysis of Paeonia daurica Andrews and P. tenuifolia L. elucidated the modern population status of this species. There are results of P. daurica and P. tenuifolia successful introduction in Kyiv based on the complex biological investigation are represented. Improve recommendations for cultivation and conservation of this species in nature are proposed. There are explained main causes of the research species’ population reduction.
