Dissertation presents the results of the study of morphology and structure of the vascular system in the flower of Myrtaceae. This study is based on the analysis of the flower vascular system in 25 model species of 14 genera from Myrtoideae s. str., “Acmena”, “Angophora”, “Leptospermum” and “Chamelaucium” informal groups, that represent various morphological types of flower. The main patterns of receptacle, perianth, androecium and gynoecium innervation in this family are established and the comparative-morphological model of the flower with taking into consideration the structure of the flower vascular system is elaborated. For the first time in the flower vascular system in Myrtaceae there were found evidences of receptacular nature of the external layer of the inferior ovary, low specialization level of the polymerous androecium, 5 veins in the carpel trace and reduction of carpel dorsal vein in subfamily Leptospermoideae. The gynoecial structure and possibilities of formation monomerous gynoecium from syncarpous are precisely analysed. The dependence of the ovule innervation upon the development of residual vascular tissue in the floral apex above the carpel node is established.
