The offered work represents attempt of association of research of political culture in its gender aspect from the point of view of historical and culturological analysis. On this basis the political culture of independent Ukraine testing cardinal changes, including through occurrence of actualities, which were not characteristic for political life of the Soviet time, is investigated. The historical sources of gender measurement of political culture of Ukrainian are analysed and its specificity is revealed, which consists in the association of common features of antifeminist stereotypes. They deny the right the woman in domination in a social context, with considerably more tolerant (in comparison with Russian) treatment of her and recognition of her social importance. The influence of the constitutional legislation of independent Ukraine as to changes of gender stereotypes of political culture is investigated.
