Makoveychuk T.I. Physiological basis of thermophilic metane fermentation products using as a plant growth regulator. – Manuscript.
Thesis for the Ph.D. degree obtaining speciality 03.00.12 – Plant Physiology. – Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics, National Academy of Sciens of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2002.
The Dissertation deals with theoretical substantiation and obtaining of experimental evidences of possibility for practical using of thermophilic methane fermentation products (TMFP) of ethanol industry waste for regulator of growth and development of plants.
For the first time with the aid of specific biotests for cytokinins, auxins and gibberellins there were revealed phytogormons of cytokinin, indol and gibberellin nature in the composition of TMFP, that is in conformity with the data obtained with physic-chemical methods.
It has been established the optimal concentrations of TMFP, which stimulated the germination of seed of different plant species. Under the influence of concentrate of TMFP the embryo meristem cell entering into the 1st cellular cycle was accelerated during the rye seed germination, the processes of rhisogeny of bean grafts were stimulated.
It has been established, that induction of the processes of rhizogeny of bean grafts under the TMFP influence was accompanied by the increasing of endogenic IAA and further decreasing its level during the root formation, period.
The induction of rhizogeny under the influence of different factors including nonhormonal, connected with changes of phytohormonal status was revealed.
It is the first showing, that application of TMFP for the treatment of alfalfa plants at the sensitive stage of its development leads to changes in phytohormone balance in the green mass of this crop, that was accompanied by accumulation of cytokinin under practically invariable level of IAA, and favor the rise of fodder value of vegetative mass of alfalfa and of seed productivity by increasing of amount of seed of this crop.
Results of the investigation can be considered as theoretical substantiation of TMFP with new purpose: as complex growth regulator of agricultural crops and source of environmental friendly growth regulates – phytohormones and B vitamins.
Key words: thermophilic methane fermentation products (TMFP), phytohormones, seed germination, bean, rhizogenesis, growth regulators, alfalfa, productivity, vitamins B.
