Savchuk O.I. Effect of biological factors on the crop rotation productivity and soddy podzolic sandy loam fertility. - Manuscript.
Thesis for the degree of Candidate of Agricultural Sciences in the speciality 06.01.01 - general agriculture. – NSC „Institute of Agriculture of the UAAS”. - Kyiv, 2006.
The research results directed on the solution of an important task-the increase in crop productivity and soddy podzolik soil fertility when saturading of crop rotations with legume crops in the conditions of the central Ukrainian Polissia are adduced.
The work gives the complex soil-fertility evaluation depending on a crop rotation factor. The regularities of the effect of differend saturation with legumes on the crop rotation productivity are revealed, the possibility of the rational mineral fertilizer nitrogen use is studied. The comparative economic and energy evaluation of crop rotations is conducted.
It is established that the introduction of intermediate lupin in crop rotations under tilled crops permits to decrease the mineral nitrogen dose application twofold without the decrease in crop productivity. Upon this the maximum Saturation of crop rotations with legume crops (by 28% in main and topping crops) against a background 8.6 metric tons and N30P60K80 per hectare of arable land secures the highest feed unit yield (near 60 hkg/ha at an average for the rotation) and the increase of soil fertility.
Key words: soddy podzolic soil, crop rotations, mineral and biological nitrogen, topping lupin, soil fertility, the nutriend balance, crop rotation productivity.
